Default Which of these 3 laptops

A fellow guild member/ friend of mine is looking to upgrade to a new laptop, on the one he currently uses hes forced to use Foreign districts with little to no players in them.

We have narrowed it down to 3 it seems.
TOSHIBA Satellite A505-S6035 Link at Newegg.com
TOSHIBA Satellite A505-S6033 Link at Bestbuy.com
Asus G60JX-RBBX05 Link at Bestbuy.com

Pretty much anything is an upgrade to him. However he is looking for something that will run Gw-gw2 well and possibly let him play more demanding games in the future. In case you know of a better laptop than these 3 his price cap is $1,000 at most.

Thanks for all your help in advance

The ASUS is the best of all of them, thanks to the 360M card. However, it will be a battery vampire, guaranteed.

I'd go with this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Tpk=34-220-706

Reasoning is straight forward... it has nVidia Optimus technology, and the drivers for that technology have improved dramatically since launch. Optimus will use the integrated Corei3's graphics when you are in the OS, saving huge amounts of battery, and will yield to the 325M when gaming. The switch is seamless, and requires no additional hardware to make it function. It's very intelligent about when to switch as well.

This laptop will easily run GW and GW2, as well as many demanding games at medium to high settings. To put it in perspective, it should be able to run Crysis on Gamer quality at 50+ FPS.

Above all, it's got a nice big screen with a high enough resolution. I believe the screen is LED backlit as well, which is a huge bonus for contrast ratio. This is a "gaming" laptop, but still maintains portability thanks to the Optimus technology.

But.... if you are set on the 3 choices you listed, I'd go with the ASUS. It's going to need to be plugged in for basically anything you want to do, but it's got a lot of power. My concerns would be heat, above anything.

From what i've been able to gather from notebookreview, overthing on the Best Buy version of the Asus G51Jx shouldn't be an issue, take note that it will still get hot depending on the games you play.

As far as games go, i'd recommend the asus laptop.

Here's the owner's lounge thread on notebookreview
http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus...rs-lounge.html

Also, the screen has a lower resolution than the stock one from asus (1366x728 vs 1920x1080), it should lessen the demand on the videocard a bit meaning less chance of overheating and you will be able to get better framerates on recent games.

I've had 2 asus laptops so far, and had overall a good experience with both of them though my G73, the larger cousin of the G51 (or G60, the best buy version of the G51), is only 2 weeks old.

EDIT: One thing your guildie might want to consider is that the G60 screams gamer when you look at it. There are some leds on the back of the screen etc, which might not look too serious if he intends to use the laptop in a business environment.
